The Patton Panthers basketball team scored 66 points and limited the visiting Polk County Wolverines to 44 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now have a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lincolnton for a non-league game on Monday, January 27. Patton will confront a Wolves team coming off a 57-40 non-league win over Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Polk County falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to confront the Bearcats in a game on Tuesday, January 28. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 15-0. Hendersonville won 51-35 in their recent league game against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)
