The Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) basketball nipped the host King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA), 73-69 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Drifters (1-11) will now prepare for their test against Essex (Tappahannock, VA). The Trojans go into the Northern Neck test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Essex was tipped by Lancaster (Lancaster, VA), 76-42, in a league test.
The Royal Tigers now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to King William for a Tidewater test on Friday, January 27. King & Queen Central will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 76-70 league loss to Mathews (Mathews, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-11.
