The Hale Center Owls basketball team (Hale Center, TX), was overwhelmed 71-33 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX)

The Mustangs now possess a 19-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sudan for a 2A Region I District 4 battle on Friday, January 27. Olton will confront a Hornets team coming off a 47-42 league loss to Ralls (Ralls, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 1-12.

The Owls (9-13) will now prepare for their battle against Smyer (Smyer, TX). The Bobcats come into the 2A Region I District 4 battle with a 5-20 record. In their last battle, Smyer was overwhelmed by Lockney (Lockney, TX), 61-48, in a league battle.
