The Monticello Ponies tipped the visiting Black Hawk Warriors basketball team by a final score of 53-48 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Ponies face the Williams Bay Bulldogs (Williams Bay, WI) in a non-league battle, on Friday, January 26. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a 3-13 record after their 52-41 non-league win over Juda (Juda, WI).

The Warriors (1-13) will now prepare for their battle against Argyle (Argyle, WI). The Orioles come into the Six Rivers - East battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Argyle edged Albany (Albany, WI), 50-36, in a league battle.
