Vermont High School Basketball - Mt. Mansfield knocked off by Champlain Valley Union

The Champlain Valley Union Redhawks basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Mt. Mansfield Cougars to 43 in the Redhawks league triumph on Thursday.
The Redhawks now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burlington for a Metro contest on Monday, January 29. Champlain Valley Union will meet a Seahorses team coming off a 72-54 league loss to St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT). The Seahorses record now stands at 8-7.
The Cougars (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Mt. Abraham was defeated by Middlebury (Middlebury, VT), 48-30, in a non-league contest.
