Champlain Valley Union Redhawks (Hinesburg, VT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mt. Mansfield Cougars (Jericho, VT), 60-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Champlain Valley Union upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Redhawks host Burlington (Burlington, VT) to clash with the Seahorses in a Metro bout on Friday, December 29. The Seahorses go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Burlington lost 71-60 in their recent league bout against St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the South Burlington Wolves (South Burlington, VT) in a Metro bout, on Friday, December 29. Mt. Mansfield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 59-58 league loss to Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT).
