The Cherokee Indians basketball team (Cherokee, AL), was overwhelmed 79-58 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Shoals Christian Flame (Florence, AL)
The Flame now possess a 12-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sheffield for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27. Shoals Christian will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 48-33 league loss to Hatton (Town Creek, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-16.
The Indians (9-13) will now prepare for their battle against Covenant Christian (Tuscumbia, AL). The Eagles come into the 1A Area 16 battle with a 17-8 record. In their last battle, Covenant Christian trounced Shoals Christian (Florence, AL), 53-44, in a league battle.
