Groveton Eagles (Groveton, NH) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lin-Wood Lumberjacks (Lincoln, NH), 65-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Groveton upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Woodsville (Woodsville, NH) to play the Engineers in a Division IV bout on Saturday, January 27. The Engineers come into the bout with a record of 12-2. Woodsville won 53-44 in their recent league bout against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, NH)

Next up, the Lumberjacks play the Mount Royal Academy Knights (Sunapee, NH) in a Division IV bout, on Friday, January 26. Lin-Wood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 44-40 league loss to Pittsfield (Pittsfield, NH).
