Arkansas High School Basketball - Quitman edges South Side

The Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR) basketball nipped the visiting South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR), 71-70 in Thursday's league test.
The Bulldogs (7-15) will now prepare for their test against Mt. Vernon-Enola (Mt. Vernon, AR). The Warhawks go into the 2A Region 2 test with a 20-10 record. In their last test, Mt. Vernon-Enola was tipped by Izard County (Brockwell, AR), 60-48, in a league test.
The Hornet now own a 10-19 record. They play next when they travel to Izard County for a 2A Region 2 test on Friday, January 26. South Side will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 60-48 league win over Mt. Vernon-Enola (Mt. Vernon, AR). The Cougars record now stands at 16-7.
