The Warrenton Warriors basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Rainier Columbians to 37 in the Warriors league victory on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverdale for a 3A Coastal Range contest on Saturday, January 27. Warrenton will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 62-34 league loss to Neah-Kah-Nie (Rockaway Beach, OR). The Mavericks record now stands at 5-12.

The Columbians (1-16) will now prepare for their contest against Yamhill-Carlton (Yamhill, OR). The Tigers come into the 3A Coastal Range contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Yamhill-Carlton triumphed over Neah-Kah-Nie (Rockaway Beach, OR), 50-46, in a league contest.
