Arizona High School Basketball - Verrado can't hold off La Joya Community

The La Joya Community Fighting Lobos basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Verrado Vipers to 46 in the Fighting Lobos league victory on Thursday.

The Fighting Lobos now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canyon View for a contest on Thursday, February 1. La Joya Community will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 52-40 league win over Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-1.

The Vipers (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Desert Edge (Goodyear, AZ). The Scorpions come into the contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Desert Edge edged La Joya Community (Avondale, AZ), 58-48, in a league contest.
