Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Port Huron Northern Huskies (Port Huron, MI), 52-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Anchor Bay upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Tars travel to Sterling Heights (Sterling Heights, MI) to clash with the Stallions in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Stallions go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Sterling Heights lost 48-37 in their recent non-league bout against Lamphere (Madison Heights, MI)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) in a Macomb Area - White bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Port Huron Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 43-34 non-league loss to Lakeview (St. Clair Shores, MI).
