The Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) basketball crushed the host Highland Rams (Monterey, VA), 53-16 in Thursday's league test.
The Fighting Blues (12-3) will now prepare for their test against Gretna (Gretna, VA). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Gretna walloped Dan River (Ringgold, VA), 59-22, in a league test.
The Rams now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Narrows for a Pioneer test on Saturday, January 27. Highland will encounter a Green Waves squad coming off a 66-36 league win over Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Green Waves record now stands at 7-9.
