The New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) basketball crushed the visiting Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS), 62-34 in Thursday's league test.

The Trojans (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS). The Wildcats go into the 5A Region 1 test with a 4-8 record.

The Commodores (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against West Point (West Point, MS). The Green Wave enter the 5A Region 1 contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, West Point was routed by Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS), 60-28, in a league contest.
