The Lafayette Commodores topped the visiting New Hope Trojans basketball team by a final score of 58-44 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Commodores face the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) in a 5A Region 1 game, on Friday, January 12. Lafayette will attempt to move on its 9-7 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 19-1 record after their 91-32 league win over Corinth (Corinth, MS).
