The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Westfield School Hornets (Perry, GA) and the host Deerfield-Windsor Knights (Albany, GA), observed Westfield School's basketball team knock off Deerfield-Windsor by a score of 40-26.
The Hornets (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Gatewood (Eatonton, GA). The Gators come into the non-league challenge with a 8-8 record.
In their next game, the Knights encounter the Valwood Valiants (Valdosta, GA) in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Deerfield-Windsor will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Valiants come into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 51-17 league loss to Brookwood (Thomasville, GA).
