The Westfield School Hornets (Perry, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Deerfield-Windsor Knights (Albany, GA), 51-24 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 12-7 record. They play next when they host Strong Rock Christian for a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 5 outing on Tuesday, February 4. Westfield School will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 62-21 league loss to St. Anne-Pacelli (Columbus, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 17-4.
The Knights (9-13) will now prepare for their outing against Tiftarea Academy (Chula, GA). The Panthers enter the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 outing with a 2-15 record. In their last outing, Tiftarea Academy was overwhelmed by Sherwood Christian Academy (Albany, GA), 41-35, in a non-league outing.
