New Mexico High School Basketball - Texico tops Clayton

Spectators at Thursday's league test between the Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) and the visiting Clayton Yellowjackets (Clayton, NM), witnessed Texico's basketball squad topple Clayton by a margin of 63-51.
The Wolverines (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM). The Lions go into the 2A District 6 test with a 15-5 record. In their last test, Santa Rosa went down by Pecos (Pecos, NM), 77-63, in a league test.
The Yellowjackets now own a 12-7 record. They play next when they host Pecos for a 2A District 6 test on Saturday, January 28. Clayton will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 77-63 league win over Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 17-3.
