New Mexico High School Basketball - Clayton can't hold off Texico

The Texico Wolverines basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Clayton Yellowjackets to 62 in the Wolverines league triumph on Saturday.
The Wolverines now sport a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Santa Rosa for a 2A District 6 contest on Wednesday, February 15. Texico will battle a Lions team coming off a 70-58 league loss to Pecos (Pecos, NM). The Lions record now stands at 18-6.
The Yellowjackets (12-10) will now prepare for their contest against Pecos (Pecos, NM). The Panthers enter the 2A District 6 contest with a 21-3 record. In their last contest, Pecos nudged Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM), 70-58, in a league contest.
