The Vista Grande Spartans basketball team (Casa Grande, AZ), was toppled 72-52 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ)

The Dons now possess a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tempe for a 4A Black Canyon battle on Friday, January 27. Coronado will confront a Buffaloes team coming off a 36-27 league loss to Cortez (Phoenix, AZ). The Buffaloes record now stands at 7-14.

The Spartans (1-19) will now prepare for their battle against Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ). The Prospectors come into the 4A Black Canyon battle with a 2-21 record. In their last battle, Apache Junction was toppled by Dysart (El Mirage, AZ), 65-38, in a league battle.
