Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN) and the visiting Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN), saw Stewartville's basketball squad topple Lake City by a margin of 53-41.
The Tigers (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Red Wing (Red Wing, MN). The Wingers go into the AAA Section 1 test with a 3-11 record. In their last test, Red Wing went down by Century (Rochester, MN), 80-50, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 15-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lourdes for a AA Section 1 test on Tuesday, January 31. Lake City will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 67-49 non-league loss to Goodhue (Goodhue, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 8-10.
