New York High School Basketball - Maryvale topped by Pioneer

The Pioneer Panthers basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Maryvale Flyers to 41 in the Panthers league victory on Thursday.
The Panthers now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Shore for a Section 6 Erie County III contest on Tuesday, January 31. Pioneer will battle a Eagles team coming off a 55-53 non-league win over Iroquois (Elma, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 5-9.
The Flyers (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lackawanna (Lackawanna, NY). The Steelers come into the Section 6 Erie County III contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Lackawanna prevailed over East Aurora (East Aurora, NY), 70-54, in a league contest.
