    In Thursday's league outing, the Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA) basketball squad nipped the visiting South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA), by a margin of 53-51.

    The Tigers (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA). The Vikings go into the non-league outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, Central Catholic got by Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA), 60-44, in a league outing.

    The Lions now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Penn Hills for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 28. South Fayette will clash with a Indians squad coming off a 65-51 league win over Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh, PA). The Indians record now stands at 12-2.
