In Tuesday's league outing, the Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA) basketball squad nipped the host South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA), by a margin of 47-46.

The Tigers (5-4) will now prepare for their outing against North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Indians go into the WPIAL 5A 4 outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, North Hills got by Mars (Mars, PA), 75-42, in a league outing.

The Lions now own a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Chartiers Valley for a WPIAL 5A 4 outing on Friday, January 6. South Fayette will clash with a Colts squad coming off a 78-44 league win over West Allegheny (Imperial, PA). The Colts record now stands at 11-0.
