North Carolina High School Basketball - R-S Central fells Polk County

January 26, 2023: Columbus, NC 28722

R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), 50-31 in a league bout.

With the win, R-S Central upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Hilltoppers host Patton (Morganton, NC) to play the Panthers in a 2A Conference 41 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-10. Patton won 68-54 in their recent league bout against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) in a 2A Conference 41 bout, on Friday, February 3. Polk County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record.
