In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Walker Valley Mustangs basketball team scored a decisive 73-42 triumph over the Polk County Wildcats.
In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Ooltewah Owls (Ooltewah, TN) in a 4A District 5 match, on Friday, January 27. Walker Valley will attempt to move on its 14-8 season record. The Owls enter the match with a 0-16 record after their 91-39 non-league loss to CSTHEA Patriots (Chattanooga, TN).
With the defeat, Polk County moves to 10-12 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Tyner Academy (Chattanooga, TN) to meet the Rams in a 2A District 4 match on Monday, January 30. The Rams enter the match with a record of 11-5. Tyner Academy lost 58-49 in their recent non-league match against Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga, TN)
