Nebraska High School Basketball - Meridian nips Bruning-Davenport/Shickley

Meridian Mustangs (Daykin, NE) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE), 39-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Meridian upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 15-2. McCool Junction won 39-27 in their recent non-league bout against Cross County (Stromsburg, NE)

Next up, the Eagles play the Osceola Bulldogs (Osceola, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Bruning-Davenport/Shickley will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 33-30 non-league loss to McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE).
