Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME) and the visiting Gorham Rams (Gorham, ME), saw Sanford's basketball squad overcome Gorham by a tally of 52-41.

With the victory, Sanford improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Noble (Berwick, ME) to confront the Knights in a AA South challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 0-14. Noble lost 50-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME)

Next up, the Rams confront the Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME) in a AA South challenge, on Friday, January 27. Gorham will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record.
