Nebraska High School Basketball - Sutton topples Sandy Creek

In Thursday's non-league outing, the Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE) basketball squad beat the visiting Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE), by a score of 49-29.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilber-Clatonia for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Sutton will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 50-15 non-league loss to Milford (Milford, NE). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-13.

The Cougars (3-15) will now prepare for their contest against Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Fillmore Central prevailed over Gibbon (Gibbon, NE), 56-28, in a non-league contest.
