Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC), 64-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Murphy upgrades its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Swain County (Bryson City, NC) to play the Maroon Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Maroon Devils come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Swain County won 54-41 in their recent non-league bout against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC)

Next up, the Black Knights play the Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 30. Robbinsville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 54-50 non-league loss to Cherokee (Cherokee, NC).
