In Friday's league outing, the Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA) basketball squad felled the visiting Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA), by a margin of 83-65.

The Colonels (13-3) will now prepare for their outing against Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Wildcats go into the Dogwood outing with a 6-9 record.

The Raiders now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Nelson County for a Dogwood outing on Tuesday, January 30. Appomattox County will clash with a Governors squad coming off a 57-55 league win over William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Governors record now stands at 6-8.
