Virginia High School Basketball - Appomattox County can't hold off Altavista

The Altavista Colonels basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Appomattox County Raiders to 57 in the Colonels league triumph on Tuesday.
The Colonels now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brookville for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 20. Altavista will battle a Bees team coming off a 77-38 league loss to Glass (Lynchburg, VA). The Bees record now stands at 0-6.
The Raiders (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Amherst County (Amherst, VA). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Amherst County was nudged by Staunton (Staunton, VA), 59-58, in a non-league contest.
