Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) and the host Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), saw Swain County's basketball squad knock off Andrews by a tally of 54-46.

With the victory, Swain County improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Maroon Devils host Hayesville (Hayesville, NC) to play the Yellowjackets in a 1A Smoky Mountain challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 11-8. Hayesville lost 44-41 in their recent league challenge against Murphy (Murphy, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Summit Charter Bears (Cashiers, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Andrews will attempt to improve on its 15-3 season record.
