The Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX) basketball nipped the host Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX), 46-45 in Friday's league test.
The Warriors (18-10) will now prepare for their test against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX). The Chargers go into the 5A Region IV District 26 test with a 25-4 record. In their last test, Boerne-Champion got by Tivy (Kerrville, TX), 61-59, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 7-22 record. They play next when they travel to Smithson Valley for a 5A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, January 30. Canyon will encounter a Rangers squad coming off a 68-54 league loss to Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 7-16.
