Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN), 46-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Unaka upgrades its record to 7-12 on the season. The Rangers host Johnson County (Mountain City, TN) to play the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 3-16. Johnson County lost 85-43 in their recent league bout against South Greene (Greeneville, TN)

Next up, the Highlanders play the North Greene Huskies (Greeneville, TN) in a 1A District 1 bout, on Friday, February 2. Cloudland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 7-13 record after their 50-38 league loss to University (Johnson City, TN).
