The Cobden Appleknockers basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers to 33 in the Appleknockers non-league victory on Friday.

The Appleknockers now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Webber for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Cobden will battle a Trojans team coming off a 84-75 non-league loss to Goreville (Goreville, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 19-3.

The Rangers (6-16) will now prepare for their contest against Elverado (Elkville, IL). The Falcons come into the South Egyptian contest with a 11-11 record. In their last contest, Elverado triumphed over Cobden (Cobden, IL), 42-40, in a league contest.
