Cobden Appleknockers (Cobden, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers (Joppa, IL), 70-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Cobden upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Appleknockers host Century (Ullin, IL) to play the Centurions in a South Egyptian bout on Monday, January 8. The Centurions go into the bout with a record of 12-6.

Next up, the Rangers play the Shawnee Redskins (Wolf Lake, IL) in a South Egyptian bout, on Monday, January 8. Joppa-Maple Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record.
