North Carolina High School Basketball - Farmville Central trounces SouthWest Edgecombe

The Farmville Central Jaguars (Farmville, NC) basketball crushed the host SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC), 81-44 in Friday's league test.

The Jaguars (17-1) will now prepare for their test against Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC). The Chargers go into the 2A Eastern Plains test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Ayden - Grifton was trounced by West Craven (Vanceboro, NC), 54-51, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to Greene Central for a 2A Eastern Plains test on Tuesday, January 30. SouthWest Edgecombe will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 71-61 league win over North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Rams record now stands at 8-10.
