North Carolina High School Basketball - Farmville Central crushes SouthWest Edgecombe

February 21, 2024: Farmville, NC 27828

Farmville Central Jaguars (Farmville, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC), 96-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Farmville Central upgrades its record to 24-1 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Washington (Washington, NC) to play the Pam Pack in a 2A Eastern Plains bout on Friday, February 23. The Pam Pack come into the bout with a record of 19-7. Washington won 71-65 in their recent non-league bout against West Craven (Vanceboro, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) in a 2A Eastern Plains bout, on Friday, February 23. SouthWest Edgecombe will attempt to upgrade on its 13-13 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 12-12 record after their 67-56 non-league loss to West Craven (Vanceboro, NC).
