The Picayune Maroon Tide routed the visiting George County Rebels basketball team by a final score of 57-34 in Friday's league game.
In their next game, the Maroon Tide face the Pascagoula Panthers (Pascagoula, MS) in a 6A Region 4 game, on Tuesday, January 30. Picayune will attempt to better on its 20-6 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 20-2 record after their 61-34 league win over West Harrison (Gulfport, MS).
The Rebels (6-16) will now prepare for their contest against Long Beach (Long Beach, MS). The Bearcats come into the 6A Region 4 contest with a 4-21 record. In their last contest, Long Beach was routed by Hancock (Kiln, MS), 61-45, in a league contest.
