The Volunteer Falcons (Church Hill, TN) basketball nipped the visiting Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN), 58-53 in Friday's league test.
The Falcons (3-15) will now prepare for their test against Cherokee (Rogersville, TN). The Chiefs go into the 3A District 2 test with a 7-9 record.
The Grizzlies now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Carter for a non-league test on Monday, January 29. Grainger will encounter a Green Hornets squad coming off a 63-45 league loss to Northview Academy (Kodak, TN). The Green Hornets record now stands at 8-13.
