The Hobbton Wildcats basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Union Spartans to 32 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Duplin for a 1A Carolina contest on Tuesday, January 30. Hobbton will battle a Rebels team coming off a 46-38 league win over Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 7-9.

The Spartans (0-15) will now prepare for their contest against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars enter the 1A Carolina contest with a 6-16 record. In their last contest, Neuse Charter was routed by Lakewood (Roseboro, NC), 88-77, in a league contest.
