The Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), 62-22 in Tuesday's league test.

The Wildcats (5-17) will now prepare for their test against North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Rebels go into the 1A Carolina test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, North Duplin walloped Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC), 73-34, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 0-20 record. They play next when they host Neuse Charter for a 1A Carolina test on Thursday, February 15. Union will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 57-50 league win over Lakewood (Roseboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 9-18.
