South Gate Rams (South Gate, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Huntington Park Spartans (Huntington Park, CA), 60-56 in a league bout.

With the win, South Gate upgrades its record to 8-15 on the season. The Rams travel to Hollywood (Los Angeles, CA) to clash with the Sheiks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Sheiks go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Hollywood won 60-41 in their recent non-league bout against Neuwirth Leadership Academy (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Animo Venice Pirates (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Huntington Park will attempt to upgrade on its 10-14 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 14-9 record after their 77-16 league win over Animo Pat Brown (Los Angeles, CA).
