The Sequoyah Chiefs routed the visiting Loudon Redskins basketball team by a final score of 83-62 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Chiefs face the South-Doyle Cherokees (Knoxville, TN) in a 3A District 5 game, on Monday, January 29. Sequoyah will attempt to better on its 11-9 season record. The Cherokees come into the battle with a 10-9 record after their 52-41 league loss to Heritage (Maryville, TN).

The Redskins (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TN). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Sweetwater trounced Polk County (Benton, TN), 64-51, in a league battle.
