The Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN) basketball nipped the host Loudon Redskins (Loudon, TN), 44-42 in Friday's league test.

The Chiefs (7-3) will now prepare for their test against McMinn County (Athens, TN). The Cherokees go into the non-league test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, McMinn County got by Brainerd (Chattanooga, TN), 64-56, in a non-league test.

The Redskins now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Silverdale Academy for a non-league test on Thursday, December 28. Loudon will encounter a Seahawks squad coming off a 66-56 non-league win over Ezell-Harding Christian (Antioch, TN). The Seahawks record now stands at 14-0.
