Virginia High School Basketball - Middlesex trounces Mathews

January 26, 2024: Mathews, VA 23109

The Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA) basketball crushed the host Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), 83-46 in Friday's league test.

The Chargers (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Christchurch School (Christchurch, VA). The Seahorses go into the non-league test with a 9-8 record. In their last test, Christchurch School was trounced by St. Michael the Archangel (Fredericksburg, VA), 72-48, in a non-league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they travel to Carver College and Career Academy for a Tidewater test on Tuesday, January 30. Mathews will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 84-37 league win over West Point (West Point, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 12-1.
