North Carolina High School Basketball - Owen falls to Mitchell

In Friday's league match, the host Mitchell Mountaineers basketball team scored a good 66-58 triumph over the Owen Warhorses.

Next up, the Mountaineers confront the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Mitchell will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 64-58 league win over Avery County (Newland, NC).

Next up, the Warhorses confront the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Owen will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 69-31 league win over Rosman (Rosman, NC).
