North Carolina High School Basketball - Owen succumbs to Mitchell

February 22, 2024: Black Mountain, NC 28711

The Mitchell Mountaineers topped the host Owen Warhorses basketball team by a final score of 77-68 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mountaineers face the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands game, on Friday, February 23. Mitchell will attempt to move on its 18-8 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 10-15 record after their 63-60 non-league win over Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC).

With the defeat, Owen moves to 7-16 on the year.
