With the victory, Monterey upgrades its record to 13-16 on the campaign. The Plainsmen travel to Cooper (Abilene, TX) to play the Cougars in a 5A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 9-17. Cooper lost 51-49 in their recent league challenge against Wylie (Abilene, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Wylie will attempt to upgrade on its 14-14 season record. The Westerners come into the challenge with a 6-22 record after their 54-21 league loss to Abilene (Abilene, TX).
